Team 1EV has engineered an innovative precision fit bolt-on running board setup for the Rivian R1T and R1S. With a strong emphasis on balancing proper design language, function, fitment, and quality for the Rivian application, the RMaxx Running Boards bring the convenience of a running board together in a design that fits right and looks fantastic on the Rivian R1T and R1S. Our goal was to make the boards look like they came from the factory. True to this goal, we didn't add any giant brand logos or out-of-style design features. The moderate face design looks right at home on the Rivian and provides sufficient grip. The boards are tucked in properly, meshing visually with the natural truck lines.
Material specifications are equally suited for municipal duty or enthusiast civilian usage. Running boards start with CNC-bent 1.75" OD alloy steel tubing with laser cut welded frame bracketry and steel plate step surface plates. We finish all surfaces with a rugged textured black powder coating. Running boards are rated for 1000lbs load.

Running Board Installation Options:
To install running boards, the factory plastic outer aero panels must be removed or modified. Three options exist:
1 - Remove the factory plastic panels and replace with our optional RMaxx Bolt-on Aero Panels.Our engineers designed replacement aero panels which feature clearance holes for Running Board Brackets. The brackets are made from black powder coated aluminum and bolt-on using factory attachment points. The RMaxx aero panels feature access ports for jack pucks, compliant with Rivian service requirements. These aero panels are compatible with Rivian's RUS underbody protection. This our RECOMMENDED option; Select the 'Running Board & Aero Panels' option when ordering.
2 - Remove the panels and leave them off the vehicle. The panels offer no 'protection' and only serve to help improve underbody aerodynamics, so many customers simple remove them and leave them off. This is the simplest and least expensive option.
3 - Cut holes in panels to allow brackets to pass through. Holesaw 4" holes in the panels to allow running board brackets to pass through the covers. This is a fast and easy DIY option, when using our drill templates and optional holesaw. The panels remain on the truck and running board brackets bolt on through the holes.

Note: R1T and R1S versions are different and unique. R1S is shorter than R1T and uses slightly different brackets.
Fully compatible with Rivian "RUS" Reinforced Underbody Protection
Bolts directly to Rivian frame structure (under outer plastic covers). Outer plastic covers must be removed to install running boards. Covers can be left off, or trimmed around running board brackets to be re-used with running boards, or replaced with RMaxx Bolt-on Replacement Aero Panels.
